[ale] IDE Raid Controller that works with Slackware 8.1 ?

IMHO, a raid card that does all the work on its card and provides
the Linux kernel a LV that appears as a disk is the best route.
Int he past, SW Raid was a big "no-no" and we ran from it
like the plague. Times may have changed.
