Michael,

Sounds like the same problem I had under RH 7.3.

For the record, usbdnet is a piece of crap.  I've been told that new
kernels will soon provide Zaurus support through usbnet...supposedly much
more stable and reliable.

Until then, you might want to use this How-to for pppd connections
[http://www.ruault.com/Zaurus/ppp-usb-howto.html]....I'd do that if I
didn't have OZ installed (how-to is specifically for the sharp rom).  I'm
going to see if I can find a way to get it working on OZ.
