Agreed.  I actually have two basic reasons for moving away from Red Hat. 
  They don't provide my preferred window manager (Enlightenment) and 
they are the big guy.  I prefer to go with someone who's not number one. 
That applies to my choice of dsl as well.  I try to take that approach 
whenever I can, doing my small part to assist the competitive market place.
