You'll get a fully integrated KDE environment and some Gnome integration 
in SuSE 8.1.

You'll get the opposite in RedHat plus RedHat plays a little less fairly 
to KDE than SuSE does to Gnome.

RedHat's current offering will be their answer to United Linux so has 
more branding and solid foundational structure for future RedHat 
business directions than the old RedHat distros.  SuSE 8.1 is a cleaned 
up more streamlined version of 8.0.  You'll like either as long as you 
get familiar quickly with the packages you need such as:

OpenOffice.org
Evolution
Mozilla
Galeon
Konqueror
Nautilus
XMMS
X-CDRoast
Kooka

and so on.  We ought to post a listing of crossover application software 
for equivalency and superiority for those coming from Windows.  You'll 
find most Linux apps in some way will be quite superior to Windows 
apps.  This is mainly since you  get put in more control of what is 
going on.  The software will be designed so you do what you want instead 
of what benefits some company somewhere.  The software *will* require a 
learning curve to get up to speed.  Don't think you jump over and pick 
up quickly without some serious bumps along the way.

If you choose to go ahead and get the nightly build of Mozilla you can 
start training the spamassassin module for your email.  You'll need at 
least the 1.3b version.
