[ale] SuSE 8.1 installer gotcha

Thanks Chris!  I've got to go thru the docs and so I appreciate the 
explanation.  The directory was there after the install but some part of 
the LVM creation process must have not been written.  I didn't know 
enough at the time to troubleshoot it properly.
