I did.  Had a home file server with 105Gig RAID5 filesystem, put all my
MP3's on it, nfs exported it.  Connected an old Laptop to the network,
set up X and installed XMMS, told it to nfs mount the filesystem.  Ran a
cable from the headphone out on the laptop to the aux-in on the stereo,
worked absolutely great.  Now I just need a new laptop as my old one
died in my last move.
