[ale] OT: hardware lockups, resets

I have this board and had similar problems. My problem was 
the 3rd 5.25" slot (cdrom in my case) was bumping a capacitor that was 
poorly positioned on the motherboard. Over time from being moved around, 
bumped , etc. the solder joint holding in the capacitor disconnected and I 
would get random disconnects. The lockups got worse over time and one day 
when installing a new cdrom I knocked the capacitor off and no more lockup 
problems.  Wierd but true.
