[ale] exporting a screen

I've started using screen and have this question: How do I get a longer
scrollback history to work under screen? When I detach from the session
and re-enter it from somewhere else, I've lost the info that has passed
off the screen. I use large buffers on my shells so I can scroll back a
long way. I've gotten use to this and was frustrated by that one
limitation. I really love screen for its usefulness. My main use right
now is controlling backups I've started. TIA,
Dow
