[ale] OT -- Community Service Opportunity: Math/Sciences After-schoolTutoring

Dr. Helmut Forren, a volunteer at Antioch Baptist Church on Northside 
Drive in Atlanta, asked me to forward the following service 
opportunity:

Are you proficient in high-school mathematics and science?  Are you a 
good communicator and can instruct young adults?  If so, you can make 
a difference in the lives of students who didn't pass the state high 
school exit exams.

Ronald Holmes coordinates a program at Antioch Baptist that runs on 
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 - 9 p.m.  The program uses 
tutors/teachers with math and science backgrounds to help high school 
students.  The program had a 87% pass rate in 2002.

Dr. Forren noted they have a shortage of tutors at this time.  If you 
can commit to help out one or more days between now and the end of

know someone who might be willing to consider helping, please forward
