We have a job opening for an entry level support technician. This person
will be doing hardware and operating system support for systems that run
various versions of SCO Unix.
Required skills:
* Knowledge of Unix at the command line - these systems have no GUI.
* Familiarity with the vi editor.
* Customer service skills - the job is 100% phone support, to a very
demanding clientele (not the general public)
* Ability to work both self directed, and as part of a team. A good work
ethic is a must. Our philosophy is - "if you need to be managed, we
don't need you."
The job is located in Marietta, just outside the Perimeter off Windy
Hill Road. Monday through Friday.
Please note, the Unix product is a legacy product in an organization
that is mainly Windows based. The company itself has a strong Windows
bias. Of the nearly 35,000 customers the company supports, only about
850 use the Unix based product. So flames about the website or the
company's business practices or the fact that your resume needs to be
readable by M$ Word are going straight to /dev/null.
So, if you're interested, please send your resume, *readable* in M$
Word, to Patsy Smith - patsysmith at practiceworks.com - she is doing the
interviewing and hiring. She will have all the information regarding
salary range and benefits.
Thank you.
