[ale] Lindows vs the semi-annual Windows suck-a-thon

I don't use Lindows, but I'm also in the boat of trying to get a spousal 
unit onto linux.  In my case, she would be moving from MacOS, so it is not 
as critical that it imitate Windows, but many of the issues are the same.

Have you looked at HomeBase Desktop: http://oeone.com/products/desktop.html
It looks very interesting.  I've red some very positive reviews about it 
and am considering trying it out.  Here's one review

It is a commercial application with a free download.  I'm not positive of 
its license, but I think it is GPL.
