It's not going to happen that way. First of all, the small players who
purchase services from BS can't afford to invest in the infrastructure.
Covad can't either. Bellsouth has too much of a headstart. They can
under price everyone since their infrastructure's already there.
We'll see how it pans out. Point is, what will happen is, BellSouth
can now charge the small guy, like Speedfactory more for their services.
Speedfactory will in turn have to recoup those funds somehow. The
only way is to pass it on to the customer. We've already seen they're
having a hard time competing with BS on price. How is Speedfactory
going to invest in an infrastructure, when their existing income is
depleted?
