You are right. Support Linux with more than words.
(I think that the downloading should stay after what I saw today with SUSE I
am dying to do that again - I have been just clicking around and installing
software without any hassle whatsoever - we should all probably be paying
subscription for a year of software updates).
And, truthfully, I am going to keep RedHat 8.0 on my wife's box. It is pretty.
It runs well and has everything she needs - plus I put 8 hours into
installing it (Unreal T, Descent3, Display drivers, DVD, and everything I
could think of) with the intent to leave that install there for a couple
years. My server is still Redhat 7.2 - and will probably end up being SUSE
(or slackware).
I want an rpmless system on my network (where *everything* is and how it is
configured).
