I looked at the page on the site now. You have preloadmages(). It should be
preloadimages(), right? With the "i"?

My wife redid a web page for a group she sings with. When the page open
in <choke> IE <spit>, it barfs up an error complaining:

Line 32 is the beginning <body> tag below. I must be going blind as I
don't see the problem. All other REAL browsers have no problems.
