[ale] won't install

Switch CDROM drives and try again.  So far, I think that is the only fix 
for these hangs in SuSE 8.1.  On the XP dual boot install of SuSE 8.1 I 
did several weeks ago, there was a moment when I would've sworn it had 
hung.  However, after a looonnggg wait for some reason, it got going 
again visibly.  Maybe it was sorting the RPM database or verifying the 
hard repartitioning.  Something was happening that I couldn't see.  But, 
I am inordinately patient with computers once I've said "do this", so I 
stubbornly kept waiting and hoping.  (Actually I am being lazy rather 
than patient 'cause I don't want to repeat the procedure)  So it ended 
up working.  Are you positive that it really has hung?  I couldn't tell 
anything was happening and I may have waited up to 10 minutes before it 
seemed to get going again.  When it hangs, go get something to eat for a 
half-hour,
