I was eating lunch with my father today and we were commenting about the
astronomical odds that are AGAINST every individual Shuttle mission. Yet
the Space Shuttle program continues even today with a success rate greater
than 98%. Imagine being able to buy a car that had a 98% rate of success
for 20+ years.

Many others have died around the world today yet we single out and mourn the
loss of these 7 highly motivated and intelligent people because they stood
on their own in order to benefit all. Sadly they died a horrible death
while only minutes away from a celebration with their families.
