I dug back and found your message buried in another thread.  It had a
different title, but the same thread.  As someone else mentioned, you'll
have more luck posting a new message since a lot of us skip threads we
aren't interested.

As to the answer to your sendmail question, there are alternatives. 
Check out qmail, smail, and exim as possibles.  Sendmail worked for me
out of the box so I didn't have to tweak it.  But then I'm running
Debian, not RH.
