Sorry, line 107 is noted above

It does work, just that it generates a warning.  The split creates a
list of items from the string that was returned from the function
backendCommand.  

Here is a sample return of backendCommand

[]1[]:[]0[]:[]Futurama[]:[]Luck of the Fryish[]:[]Fry quests to recover
a seven-leaf clover he possessed as a child.[]:[]
[]:[]1059[]:[]59[]:[]TOON[]:[]Channel 59 TOON[]:[]
