That sounds like a cool plan. Could also offer speakers (some of the more
popular topics from the past couple of years), contact some of the distros
see if they would like to have any representation or send any promotional
stuff as well.

I'm planning (God and my Wife willing) to attend next weeks ALE-NW meeting.
I'd be up for talking about this with anyone interested in helping put it
together....

An install fest along with different Demos running on tables.  Things
like the knoppix ported security tool: http://www.localareasecurity.com/
and other "recovery/diagnostics" tools along with different distro's,
desktops, etc.
