Yup.  But many people were afraid that AT&T could claim there was IP
in BSD and intimidate people.  This got them more revenue from licenses
until they were stupid and arrogant enough to sue tiny BSDI.  BSDI won
when the courts declared BSD 100% from AT&T IP.
