I just put mailscanner+f-prot+spamassassin on my mail machine, and started
getting the following error:
Apr 14 21:40:03 hostname MailScanner[31430]: Expanding TNEF archive at
/mscan/incoming/31430/195FQT-0008IG-00/winmail.dat
Apr 14 21:40:03 hostname modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module binfmt-464c
Apr 14 21:40:03 hostname modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module binfmt-464c
Apr 14 21:40:03 hostname MailScanner[31430]: Corrupt TNEF winmail.dat that
cannot be analysed in message 195FQT-0008IG-00
So, I know that TNEF is to break apart M$ rich text, but the binfmt-464c,
at least the first 3 pages of google hits, seems to be related to kmod
somehow.
The failed modprobes are always between "Expanding TNEF archive" and
"Corrupt TNEF [filename]", so it would seem that the MailScanner/TNEF
stuff is the culprit. But I'm having a hard time believing that. Can
anyone help shed some light on this?
Thanks,
jenn
