[ale] Can I identify the country of origin?

Could you identify the IP and do a reverse traceroute, then develop a 
map of the Internet from your data?  Even if you only got the ISP router 
IP as a the last hop, that would still be a reasonable datapoint.  You'd 
need to qualify the requests by sorting your web requests so that only 
normal good guy requests were worked on.  You could ignore the attack 
requests.  No point in inviting attention by the bad guys.  This scheme 
is a lot of work for a perl script but very doable.  Combine that with 
the other suggestions referencing the browser language and you could 
develop a best guess database.  I think there is a project that has 
already tried to map the Internet geographically.  I don't know whether 
it is current or not.
