First, I'd make a backup copy of /etc/smb.conf (or /etc/samba/smb.conf,
depending on your distribution)..

Read through this and experiement http://hr.uoregon.edu/davidrl/samba.html

If you still have trouble, you should have some more detailed questions
after reading that doc.

Hi there,

I am having a big smaba problem. Things are not working my
home network that I'd like to use a samba server. My first
question is : how to setting up my Win98 so to be able to
browse samber server.
My second quetion is: what are the main things I must do in
my samba server.
The only thing I can do is to use ftp in dos command
line(using samba's IP adress) but I'm not satisfied with
this solution
I can't help toting that my english bad because I'm French)
