Looks like there isn't any room for argument anyway.  If you're going to 
use a microwave dish to either transmit or receive, you kinda have to be 
working with microwaves...these quoted frequencies are much more 
reasonable-sounding.

I wonder what the deal is with the LEO/MEO satellites, as they can't 
work with a fixed dish.  Do they use some kind of "dome" antenna rig 
like what you see for GPS receivers?
