I'm interesting in teaching my linux box to repeat various IR command on 
"demand".  I found the LIRC.org page, which looks like it is what I'm 
interested in.  Two questions:

1) Anyone here have any experience with LIRC?
2) They list a number of hardware bits on their system.  Any particular 
recommendations?
