[ale] I give up

>>[root at cfowler tmp]# cdrecord -v -speed=10 -dev=0,0,0 -data ./Win98.iso

This is going to be a bit off the wall, but I figure you'll try anything
at this point. first of all, every time I've used cdrecord (and the man
page backs this up, dev= and speed= don't have a leading '-' . The
reason I bring this up is, that although you specify a speed=10, the
output says it's burnning at 12. Note I pulled the following from below:

 >>Starting to write CD/DVD at speed 12 in write mode for single session.

So it would appear it's ignoring your speed setting.

Also, looking further, atip reports this disks writing speed is 4:

 >> Indicated writing power: 4

Try cdrecord -atip and see what it returns.

Also, try using the -debug flag and you might try writing at a slower
speed. Some cheap media won't always write at their specified speed.

Until later: Geoffrey esoteric at 3times25.net

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
