[ale] hard drive won't mount

I'd be interested in more specifics around this, since I'm running 3 
machines with 2.4, yet have not had any such drive problems.  Any links 
or lists I might check?

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
