[ale] install question

I have a Toshiba Portege 620CT that I got from my wife. She bought it in
Norway and it didn't come with a network card nor an external cdrom. We
just got back from there and I was able to get a Jensen network card
specifically made for the laptop (couldn't find one anywhere in Atlanta or
on the net).

Anyway, I want to install linux from my linux server I have at home, but
first obviously I need to setup that network card. My problem is setting
it up without have an OS on my laptop. What do I do? Have anyone of you
run into this problem before? I have gone through the linux install a
handful of times to see what other ways I have to install on my laptop, but
I'm stuck on "installing from cdrom or local disk". The cdrom I do have
doesn't have a driver (it's a CMS Enhancements product) and not even
driverguide or drivers.com could bail me out this time.

Any thoughts?

Tony
