[ale] linux fdisk and HDA DISASTER

well i got my problem fixed... for some reason when i
removed all partitions with linux fdisk then tried a
reboot and use ms fdisk to make a new one that did not
work so i tried linux makeing a new partiton.. that
worked.. well later on down the road i tried everthing
you guys sent me from the warning in the fdisk and
using the tip it said about writeing the 512 bits to 0
with the dd command.. man i tried it all.. luckily i
still had my install disk for my 40 gig drive and both
of my hard drives were western digital so :) i did the
format from the floppy and its now online and im
emailing from it to you now :) it was a wierd case i
must say even though i havent much experience with it
