1. boot redhat and make a boot floppy for it.
2. install win2k on you second hdd. it will overlay MBR on the master hdd
3. boot redhat from floppy. add win2k to your lilo or grub conf. activate
4. reboot & enjoy

Subject: [ale] dual booting RedHat7.2 and Win2k

So I want to dual boot... I have RedHat7.2 installed already. I have a
second drive I want to put Win2k on. I've dual booted before but
installed Win2k first then installed SuSE on a second drive. That was
easy enough. But I don't want to install Win2k then install RedHat
again. I have it running nicely and would like to keep it that way. My
question is how can I now install Win2k on the second drive and be able
to boot it from grub? I thought about removing the RedHat drive, moving
the second drive to the master ide connection, installing Win2k, then
moving it to the slave ide position and reattaching the RedHat drive
back to the master. /*a lot of work just to get Windows going*/ Is
this possible? Will Win2k change my bios settings? Does anyone know of
a better way to go about this? Thanks for the input

Jeff
