[Disclaimer: VIM is my editor of choice. Combine that with ANT and I got my
IDE :)] I think emacs would be a closer fit.
Also check out the eclipse project from your friendly neighbourhood ibm
folks. It's got plugins for C++ dev. I'm not sure but I think forte from sun
does too.
