Subject: [ale] canheld computers?
hey i heard about some "ramdrives" or prettymuch hard
drives but made of ram... lookin like bricks... flash
rom i guess.. they said at the moment it wasnt
feasable due to a limiting 100 writes? im wondering if
theres any electronics wizzards out there or perhaps
someone has seen a page about tiny hand held pc's
something like a hard drive and mother board and maybe
basic video ... enough of a pc to slap an os on and
send an output to a monitor.. the whole thing being
maybe smaller than a brick? hopefully sending video
(not anything like hi def grafix) to any standard
monitor and accepting usb devices? allowing keyboard
and mouse and what ever else you can daisy chain to
it? or am i just um.. stumbling on a dead perhaps
useless topic? ... i poked a little 'round on a few
sites... nothing seemed promising.. guess im looking
for the next generation pc... i just figured it would
be something fun...
and how small do mother boards get? just looking for
more options...
