[ale] Adaptec 2930U vs 2940U for HP DAT24i

As I mentioned, the "Tapeware" backup software that HP supplies with the
DAT24i drives will not run on the Symbios bios. The HP e800 Netservers
come with a built-in SCSI controller from Symbios and it handles hard
drives and other backup software fine, but Tapeware will not work as
yet. So, I have two choices, stick with Tapeware and put in a second
controller card, or use the on-board controller and use some other
backup software. I've tried Arkeia and it is Extremely complicated for
small businesses without an IT staff onhand, I've used BRU which works
wonderfully for backup but stinks horably for restores. They do not do
"seeks" so it starts at the beginning of the tape and runs until it
finds the file you asked for, hours later. In this day of technology,
that is not acceptable.
