[ale] Windows SMS connection under VMWare?

Check the firewall on the host machine. 

Also, there are several different ways of doing the networking in
vmware. One of them make the virtual machine appear to the network as a
real machine. I can't remember the term they used. That is what you want
to use for the vmware client machine.
