[ale] Windows SMS connection under VMWare?

Robert -

I've worked with SMS before and from what I remember about it ("The 
memories!  AAAGH, THE MEMORIEEEEES!!!!"), I can't think of anything 
about VMware that would preclude the operation of SMS client or admin 
software.  

What's the basis for this consensus you speak of?
