[ale] autofs problem with mount?

I've been trying to figure out some odd filesystem problems. One thing
that seems common across all my machines:

lh:/home/nomad on /home/nomad type nfs (rw,4Øÿ¿äØÿ¿¸ôØÿ¿lh:/home/nomad,addr=192.168.0.2)
lh:/home/mamma on /home/mamma type nfs (rw,4Øÿ¿äØÿ¿¸ôØÿ¿lh:/home/mamma,addr=192.168.0.2)

Note theo special chars in the output of "mount". The auto.home file
consists of:

# $Id: auto.misc,v 1.2 1997/10/06 21:52:04 hpa Exp $
# This is an automounter map and it has the following format
# key [ -mount-options-separated-by-comma ] location
# Details may be found in the autofs(5) manpage
#home           -fstype=nfs             lh:/home
*               -fstype=nfs             lh:/home/&

:wq!
