[ale] More problems with Mandrake 8.2

According to www.distrowatch.com, Lycoris doesn't have GNOME or many of the
apps I like.  It definitely doesn't have Galeon, and Evolution, PAN, and
Glimmer aren't listed.

I have no problem with nuking my system right now.  If I find one that looks
good among the 70 listed, I'll try it and write a little review.
