This looks like a great opportunity! I can work with others to help
coordinate this event. The original email doesn't give much of an
anticipatd time frame, so I'll assume (yeah, I know..) that it needs to
be pulled together quickly. 

At $15-$30 each plus 1/20 the cost of transportation, meals and lodging
for 2 days, it is still quite a bargain price for a chance for another
feather in the cap. It's also a good topic for a training session from
ALE during a meeting. If we can get the most missed questions, we get
some feedback on the knowledge that our group is needing most.

OK. Just got full approval from the wife unit :). I will happily take
charge of handling the feeding and housing of the LPI rep and can take
the point in this. If people will email me offline to indicate their
interest, I'll add them to a list. 

How many alers have LPI I certification?

Vernard, with your approval, I'll handle the communication with LPI
directly unless you have some time/interest in doing some of it
yourself.
