[ale] Automated shutdown

Well, I have never tried a shutdown in a cron job, but I can't think of 
any reason it wouldn't work.  You will likely have to fully specify the 
path to shutdown.  E.g. /sbin/shutdown, or wherever it resides on your 
system.  I assume you are trying this in root's crontab.
