If there is general interest in answers to questions like this
I could be persuaded to do a XFree86 tip and tricks talk for
an up coming ALE meeting.

Basically it is possible to have more than one video card
configured in XFree86 and then have the Xserver span cards
(and thus monitors) so you can drag windows across the two
different card/monitor display pairs. Creates a big virtual
screen.
