speaking of that, I need to write basic network interface code to be placed
in a loader.

I have creaetd a route function that uses rtentry to add static routes at
boot. Will I need to use
a simular entry to actual bring up an interface with IP address? Currently
I only store IP, GateWAy, and Netmask in my configs. This should be enough?

Subject: [ale] flushing routing table....

I'm using RH 7.1, route version 1.96. Does anyone
know a way to automatically flush the routing table?

When I try "route flush", I get:
Flushing `inet' routing table not supported.

Thanks,
John
