[ale] desktops for older machines

With 16 Mram, I have quite successfully run X on a P90 laptop using fvwm2.
Gnome and KDE are way too heavy, so don't try. twm may be ugly, but it
gives the best performance since it has _no_ decoration.

I have not run Xfce yet. But I have seen that it is stable and
lightweight.
