I agree.  I have a Pentium 180 MHz with 80 MB of RAM at home.
I use KDE on it with no problems.  Heck, I even use Star Office
on it occasionally.  Only the load/startup time is a problem,
so I just go to the kitchen and get a cup of coffee.  :)
After it's loaded, no (serious) problem.
