I assume you mean AT&T Broadband right?  I have the 3COM modem they use and
it works great.  I have used it with Red Hat6.2-7.1, Mandrake 7.0-7.1, and
Suse.  The broadband didn't have any manual installation.  It was configured
with DHCP.  Now maybe you won't be using DHCP though.
