[ale] Cracked many Linux systems

I was wondering if samba has the same issues as nfs. I mount everything at
home this way. I, of course, would expect a firewall to have a rule to
block any inbound /outbound data on the 13* ports on the external Ethernet
adapter. I wouldn't want anyone in my cable area using my printer or any
other shares I have set up. Any ideas on security?

Point noted about not running nfs on the firewall (or actually much of
anything else either). I would prefer to do away _entirely_ with
nfs/portmap at some point in the near future, but since I operate from
three different keyboards, some form of network file system is
desireable. Right now, I know how to run nfs, and I don't know how to run
(or even really of) another such system.
