 	   Topic: Map Servers for Linux 
	 Speaker: Sara Yurman, Spatial Focus, Inc.

	Map servers put live, interactive geographic information system 
	(GIS) data on the net.  This presentation will discuss practical 
	aspects of using Mapserv, a free map server, and other open source 
	software in a production GIS environment.  It will focus on:

        	Map server options for Linux
        	GIS data evaluation and preparation
        	Mapserv setup
        	Scripting options
        	Map servers as a tool for distributed work environments


	Sara Yurman is a partner in Spatial Focus, Inc., a GIS consulting 
	firm.  She has been in the GIS industry for 15 years, most of them 
	in Unix.  She has used Linux since 1998.
