Greg -

I tried to run the NetMAX Firewall about a year ago. It takes a lot of
machine to run it compared to what you need to run an adequate
firewall. It WILL NOT run right on a 486 and a Pentium 75 will be dog,
DOG slow. The documentation regarding configuration of Ethernet cards
was crappy. The user interface looked nice but seemed kind of
navigationally derelict.

They reworked their products after that (no ready upgrade path, grrrrr),
so YMMV.
