[ale] dpkg question

Dselect is a Ncurses front of one of the other two (I think dpkg). I'll 
Have to tinker over the weekend for more info.
Hopefully some more knowledgable will write up. I have heard that their 
update programs are some the best.
I do recall invoking either apt-cdrom  or cdrom-apt to add the cdrom to 
download source list.
