  I've been looking for a new job in the *nix field 
  for about a month and a half now...unfortunately, I have no college degree 
  whatsoever nor previous job experience in a related field, so literally *none* 
  of my emails have ever been even so much as answered.

  situation, and if so, how you got started?  Any good places to look for 
  entry level positions in, say, a PHP programming field?
