Another thing I like about Mandrake is the automagic hardware
configuration (kudzu??). When I installed it on my laptop, it
recognized the docking station video card and nic. When I rebooted
without the docking station, Mandrake recognized there was a different
video card and permitted me to configure it on boot up. It also
recognized the missing nic and asked if it should be removed from the
configuration. Pretty slick. You ever try swapping video drivers on
reboot with NT?

Can you say "reimage the boot disk"? ;-)
I've even seen where a user selected an unsupported video resolution and was
stuck in the nightmarish world of 16-color VGA. The solution from the NT
desktop support group was to back up the user's data then reimage the disk.
